Obituary

Flemington, NJ – Leonard "Lenny" Darrow, 62, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ with loving family by his side.  Born in Plainfield, NJ, son of Herbert and Dorothy (nee Laferrara) Darrow, he was raised in Piscataway, NJ, and then lived in Green Brook, NJ, before settling to Flemington in 2001.
Lenny was a graduate of Piscataway High School with the Class of 1978, and then attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.  In 1994 Lenny started the family sporting goods business, Darrow's Sporting Edge in Whitehouse Station, NJ, which continues to service their customers throughout New Jersey.  He was an endeared member of multiple athletic associations in Hunterdon County.  Lenny was an avid fisherman, enjoying the moments he had fishing with his family.  Most importantly, he cherished the years he spent coaching and watching his two sons with their various sporting activities.  He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ.
Lenny will be deeply missed by all who knew him, most notably, his beloved wife of thirty-three years, June K. (nee Hoctor) Darrow with whom he joined hands in marriage on May 6, 1990; two loving sons, Ryan Darrow of South Amboy, NJ and Anthony Darrow of Flemington; two dear brothers, Ken Darrow and his wife, Robyn and Dennis Darrow and his wife Domenica; cherished nieces and nephews, Taylor, Justine, Bryanna, Dennis, Vincenzo, Billy, and Shannon; and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Monday, May 15, from 3-7 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 16, from 8:45-9:15 a.m.  Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 16, at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin, KCHS officiating.  The disposition will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made in Leonard's name to any of the following organizations and charities : Flemington-Raritan Baseball, P.O.
