Lenny Leonardi entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 14, 2016. He was 45.
Born in Raritan Township NJ, Lenny resided in Whitehouse Station before moving to Largo, Florida.
Throughout his youth Lenny participated in sports including wrestling, baseball and football. He was a graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School where he was an active member of the wrestling team. He was an HCRHS wrestling champion accomplishing over one hundred wins. Lenny was also a National Junior Olympic Greco-Roman Champion and his name is memorialized in Oklahoma's National Wrestling Hall of Fame Museum. He went on to coach youth wrestling.
Lenny graduated from the University of Virginia, Mcintyre School of Commerce with a degree in accounting and later attained his Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) certification. He earned a wrestling scholarship to UVA where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
After college Lenny owned and operated "Leonardi Builders" and he co-owned "T.Leo" Construction with his brother Tony. He became Chief Engineer for Legacy Vacation Club in Brigantine, NJ before transferring to Legacy Vacation Resorts in Indian Shores, Florida, where he was General Manager.
His passion for sports made Lenny a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and the New York Yankees as well as NASCAR. He proudly owned Green Bay Packers stock.
Lenny was predeceased by his dear father, Leonard J. Leonardi, Sr., brother Tony Leonardi, and beloved dog, Ripley. He leaves behind his devoted mother Annmarie (Eshelman) Leonardi of Whitehouse Station, his wife Jamie Canovas-Leonardi, and his loving aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. Lenny will be remembered in the hearts of his many cherished friends.
