Hillsborough, NJ—Linda Ann (nee Kremer) Madretzke, 81, passed away peacefully at Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hillsborough. Born and raised in Weehawken, NJ, daughter of the late Joseph and Vilma (nee Rase) Kremer, she later moved to Hoboken, NJ and Westfield, NJ before settling to Hillsborough in the 1970's.

Linda earned her undergraduate degree from East Stroudsburg State College in East Stroudsburg, PA and her master's degree from Trenton State College in Ewing, NJ. After her education, Linda went on to teach physical education and health with the Hillsborough Township School District in Hillsborough for over 35 years. In her free time she loved gardening and was a member of the Rutgers Master Gardener program. But what she was most fond of, later in life, was spending quality time with her two beautiful granddaughters.

Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Henry Bruno "Hank" Madretzke, who died on January 24, 2022; and her son, Jeffrey K. Madretzke who died in 2015.

Linda is survived by her loving son, Russell J. Madretzke and his wife, Alicia of Hillsborough; and two cherished granddaughters, Meghan Madretzke and Meredith Madretzke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation for both Linda and her husband Hank on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Inurnment will follow at Neshanic cemetery in Hillsborough.
