Ringoes, NJ - Lois Elizabeth Sobin, 92, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ.  Born in Irvington, NJ, daughter of the late Albert Rudolph and Margaret Kail Gerlach, she resided in Union, NJ prior to settling in Ringoes in 2014.

Lois was a graduate of Irvington High School and Berkley Secretarial School. She worked at Hoffman Beverage Company and retired in1985 after over twenty-five years of dedicated employment as secretary at her husband's company Sun Tool and Manufacturing in Irvington, NJ.

Lois attended Sanford Avenue Presbyterian Church before joining the First Congregational Christian Church in Irvington. She was a member of Trine Circle, a women's group at her church and chaired Casa Materna a fund raising charity for orphans overseas.  Later in life she enjoyed membership in the Red Hats. She enjoyed many friendships and shared a large social circle with her husband. Together they hosted yearly/annual Halloween and New Year's Eve parties for their many friends and family.  Lois was an avid reader and enjoyed writing and traveling all over the world with her husband Alvin.

Lois will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of seventy years, Alvin Carl Sobin, with whom she joined hands in marriage on June 3, 1950; two loving children, John Sobin of Nazareth, PA and Laurel and her husband Keith Muldowney of Ringoes; dear brother, Robert Gerlach; dear sister, Vearian and her husband Donald Kroeck; and two cherished grandchildren, Kristen and husband Sam Roberts and Rebecca Muldowney.
