Nazareth, PA – Lois (Mark) Taylor, 74, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2007 at Easton Hospital located in Easton, PA. Born in Arlington, NJ to her late mother Adelaide (VanWinkle) Mark, she had lived in Annandale, NJ before settling to Nazareth two years ago.
Lois graduated from Scotch Plains High School in 1951 and subsequently attended Washington School of Secretarial in Newark for two years. She was employed by J.M. Huber Printing Company of Edison, NJ for eleven years and retired from Exxon in 1993, after fifteen years of service as an executive secretary at both their Annandale and Florham Park offices. In her retired years, she volunteered her time at the Flemington Food Pantry.
She was the matriarch of the Taylor family; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend. She was known and loved for her kindness, hospitality and appreciation of her loving family and friends.
Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Ted, her three loving sons and daughters-in-law Lee and Pat of North Plainfield, Mark of Forked River and Steve and Dawn of Frenchtown and her six cherished grandchildren; Melanie, Andrew, Tracy, Pammy, Morgan and Austin. She also leaves behind her dear brother George and wife Evie of East Berlin, PA, a special friend and daughter-in-law Margie of New Providence and her loyal dog Kilts.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 beginning 11:00am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by entombment at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 from 5-8pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until service time. Memorial contributions in Lois' name may be sent to a charity of your choice.
