Branchburg, NJ –Lorraine Nevar, 62, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 8, 2024, at her residence with loving family at her side.  Born in Queens, NY to the late Sidney and Frances (nee Sommer) McGovern, she was raised in Valley Stream, Long Island before settling to Piscataway in 1984 and then Branchburg in 1990.

Lorraine was a Registered Nurse employed by the Somerset Pediatric Group in Hillsborough.  She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ where she taught CCD classes.  She was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Book Cookies Book Club, Women's Spirituality Group, and a regular student in Bible Study.

Lorraine is survived by her devoted husband; Mark Nevar, loving children Laura Nevar and husband Gareth and Thomas Nevar.  She will be deeply missed by her sisters Marianne Spellman and husband Steven and Maureen Takahashi and husband Brian, as well as her dear Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Franco.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 3-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.  Disposition will be private.
