Flemington, NJ- Mary Lynne (nee Lange) Dawkins, 75, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Gerard and Margaret (nee Burris) Lange, she lived in Valley Stream, NY and Aurora, IL before moving to Flemington, New Jersey in 1995.
Lynne retired after many years of dedicated employment as an executive secretary for ICI Corporation in Bridgewater, NJ. She also worked at the Diocese of Rockville Centre in Rockville Centre, NY where she was secretary to the Bishop. Lynne adored her family and loved being a grandmother. She was a "season ticket holder" for many years of school concerts, CYO basketball and little league baseball games. She was an avid knitter, crocheter and reader. Lynne especially enjoyed the "good vibrations" of the Beach Boys and supported her beloved New York Mets, win or lose. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ where she was a Eucharistic minister as well as a member of the Women's Spirituality Group.
Lynne is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-two years, Larry Dawkins; two loving children, Gregory Dawkins and his wife Mary Ellen of Maplewood, NJ and Shannon and her husband Jeffrey Rapant of Cranford, NJ. Lynne was pre-deceased by her brother, Douglas Lange and she will be deeply missed by her dear sister, Janice Lange and brothers Gerard Lange, Kevin Lange and Kenneth Lange and their families. She will also be missed by her in-laws, Christine Mathisen, Gini Wohl, Kevin Dawkins and Vicki Benenati and their families. Lynne's world revolved around her five cherished grandchildren, Patrick, Brendan and Kieran Dawkins; Griffin and Colin Rapant; and her adored goddaughter/niece, Kristen Lange.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Sunday, April 3, from 4-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 and on Monday, April 4 from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin, KCHS officiating. The disposition will be private.
