Raritan Township, NJ- Margaret M. (McCarthy) Saur, 87, entered into eternal life peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2005 at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township with her loving family by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY to her late parents Edward and Margaret (Allen) McCarthy, she had lived in Woodhaven, NY until retiring, then moved to Boca Raton, FL before settling in Raritan Township.


Margaret was employed as a Computer Operator for Banker Trust Co. in New York City. She was a member and often head of various Ladies Rosary Societies. She was a communicant of St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington.

Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Charles Saur who passed away July 10, 2001.


Surviving Margaret are her loving sons; Joseph of Yorktown, VA, Edward of Raritan Township, NJ, James of Bayside, NY and John of New York City. She will be sadly missed by her eighteen adored grandchildren and her two cherished great-grandchildren all of whom were very special to her.

Funeral Services will begin at 10:15am on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 11:00am funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Margaret will be laid to rest besides her husband in the family plot at the St. Magdalen's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call to the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 5-8pm and on Tuesday from 9:45am until service time.
