Maria "Mia" Tarantino, aged 91, entered eternal life on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Park Creek Place in North Wales, Pennsylvania. Born in Taverna, Italy, Mia is the daughter of the late Francisco and Carmela (née Puleo) Tarantino; she grew up in Italy prior to coming to the United States when she immigrated to Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She then resided in Woodbridge, NJ before moving to Keasbey, New Jersey. 

Mia, dedicated to her career, worked as a beautician at her brother-in-law’s business, Luigi’s Styling Shop in Metuchen, New Jersey, for many years.

She was a parishioner of Most Holy Rosary Church which was renamed Good Shepherd Parish in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Time spent with family was of utmost importance to Mia. 

Besides her parents, Mia was predeceased by her brothers and sisters; and brother-in-law, Luigi T. Stellato. 

Mia is survived by her loving partner, Robert “Macho” Lagonia; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
