Raritan Township, NJ – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marie M. Vladyka, 61 yrs., announce her untimely passing on April 27, 2009 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Marie was a loving traditional wife and a devoted self-less mom who always put her family first. Marie was born in Hazelton, PA. Marie grew up in Somerville, NJ before moving to Hunterdon County where she has been a resident for 30+ years.


Marie was a dedicated, valued employee of the County of Hunterdon, Roads and Bridges, for over 15 years. Marie enjoyed spending her leisure time traveling with her devoted husband, John, especially enjoying vacations in Branson, MO.

Marie is the daughter of the late Michael and Martha (Huddock) Kopetz and sister to the late Michael Kopetz. Marie is survived by her adoring husband of 43 years, John F. Vladyka, her loving daughters Sandra Vladyka of Somerset County and Cynthia Wolchesky and her husband Ken of Kernersville, NC; cherished granddaughter Ava Wolchesky and Marie's dear sister Carol Van Orden of Califon, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 beginning 12:45 p.m. from Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 1:30 p.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Marie will be interred in the family plot at New Cemetery in Somerville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at the funeral home on Friday, May 1, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
