Marilyn A. (Schroeder) Leone, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024, at her residence with her loving family by her side.  Born in Kenilworth, N.J., to John and Eileen (Popko) Schroeder, Marilyn was a resident of Belleville, Springfield, and Mountainside, NJ prior to settling in Hillsborough in 1972.

Marilyn earned two Master's degrees in Education and, throughout her career in teaching, adapted to different subjects, schools, and class ages. Marilyn retired as a computer teacher at Hillsborough Middle School in 2014. Marilyn attended services at Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Hillsborough. She enjoyed country line dancing, ballroom dancing, traveling with family and friends, and was an enthusiastic Zumba Gold and yoga student.  She enjoyed technology, country music, and playing with her grand-pups. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her two children, Mark Leone and Michelle Leone, both of Hillsborough, and many family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, in Hillsborough, N.J. 08844, followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in East Hanover.  To send condolences to the family or sign an online guestbook, please visit CountrysideFuneralHome.com.
