Frenchtown, NJ—Mark Thomas Winsor, 66, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Mark fought Early Onset Alzheimer's disease for over 10 years.
Born in Somerville, NJ, son of the late Thomas G. and Josephine E. (Valko) Winsor, he resided in Erwinna, PA. In 1982, he moved to his home in Frenchtown, NJ.
Mark proudly served in the United States Navy in Panama during Vietnam War. He was a member of the Frenchtown American Legion for 30 years.
Mark lived life to the fullest. He worked mainly as a carpenter. At one point he worked on the Black River & Western Railroad. Mark loved the outdoors, traveling, photography, growing food and preserving it, hunting and chopping wood. He enjoyed the many camping/salmon fishing trips to Alaska with his brother Steve. He once went on a photo safari to Africa and drove cross country several times.
Mark leaves behind his beloved wife Ruth (Andersen) Winsor; two brothers, Bernard and his wife Holly (Kroemmelbein) of Frenchtown, NJ and Steven of Fairbanks, AK; sister, Kathleen Higgins of Warrington, PA; all his cherished nieces and nephews and many dogs and cats.
The family would like to thank all care providers for their love, support and compassion during Mark's prolonged illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark's memory to Hunterdon Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.Visits: 0
