Augusta, GA – Mary K. (Scharfenberger) Stahl, 88, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 21, 2008 at her residence. Born in Irvington, NJ to her late parents Joseph and Mary M. (Wenz) Scharfenberger she settled in Augusta nine years ago.

Mary was a homemaker, a volunteer at the Charlie Norwood Branch of the V.A. Hospital and a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church both in Augusta.

Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty-one years Harry J. Stahl.

Mary is survived by her loving & devoted children; Barbara S. Kiernan and husband Thomas of Augusta, GA, Joan M. Korp and husband Matthew of Catasauqua, PA, John E. Stahl and wife Michelle of Port Charlotte, FL, James M. Stahl and wife Maureen of Califon, NJ, Michael E. Stahl of Augusta, GA, and Eugene T. Stahl and wife Renette of Flemington, NJ; a dear sister Rita Turner of Whiting; eleven cherished granddaughters, four adored grandsons, and five precious great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 beginning 9:30am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. The interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Thursday from 8:45am until service time.
