Whitehouse Station, NJ—Maureen A. (nee Keeney) Caron entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. Maureen was born on Staten Island, NY and was raised and lived at Seaview Hospital where her father, Joseph Keeney, was the Executive Director.
She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and the former Notre Dame College and went on to receive her Master's Degree in Hospital Administration at Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed her Administrative Residency at NY Medical College, Flower and Fifth Avenue Hospital and was subsequently appointed Assistant Administrator at Flower and Fifth Avenue Hospital. She subsequently served as Vice President for Strategic Planning at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains, NJ.
The daughter of Joseph and Ailsa Keeney, she is survived by two brothers, Joseph and Brendan and their families.
She is pre-deceased by her husband of more than fifty years, James, with whom they shared their backgrounds in Hospital Administration, he having served as the Executive Director at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin and his family, Tara, James and Julia of Chatham, and Dennis and his family Lisa and Maeve of Portland, Oregon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 8:30-10:15 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin, V.F., KCHS officiating. Committal words and entombment will take place at the mausoleum chapel at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maureen's name to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
