Flemington NJ– Monica "Mimi" Kirsten Gsell, 46, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Born in Somerville, NJ, daughter of loving parents, Anton and Monica C. (Macko) Gsell, she was a long time resident of the Doris Duke Estate in Hillsborough, NJ.



Mimi was a graduate of Immaculata High School in Somerville, Class of 1987. While there she excelled as a student and was a varsity letter winner in tennis. She was a 1991 graduate of Caldwell College (now Caldwell University), majoring in English. Mimi was employed at Duke Gardens Foundation for many years alongside her father, who was director of the world-class display gardens, where Mimi managed vital parts of their operations. Recently she lovingly became a full time care-giver for her mother, Monica, due to circumstances of her health. She was a faithful communicant of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Mimi had many interests, but foremost was her devotion to her Roman Catholic Faith and her entire family.



Mimi was a most cherished daughter, sister, and aunt. Mimi is survived by four dear brothers, Christopher Gsell and his wife, Sharon and their children, Cara, Bryan, and Deidre, all of Columbia, MD, Timothy Gsell and his wife Carol and their children, Anna and Eric, all of Homewood, IL, Kevin Gsell and his wife Joann and their children, Jackie, Elizabeth, Kevin, and Luke, all of Tabernacle, NJ and Tony Gsell of Flemington.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Thursday, March 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, March 6 from 9:45-10:15 a.m.



Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6 beginning 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington with Msg. Jim Dubell officiating. Committal words and interment will follow at St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington.
