Obituary

Neshanic Station, NJ- Nancy (Hutnik) Dwyer, 55, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at her home in Neshanic Station with loving family and friends by her side. Raised in Guttenberg, New Jersey, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Smith) Hutnik, she lived in San Francisco, California in 1990 before settling to Neshanic Station in 1991where she built a beautiful home full of love and laughter.

Nancy was a graduate of the Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck, New Jersey. She was a registered nurse, working for Hackensack University Medical Center, prior to the twenty-four years of practice with Spine Surgery Associates in Newton, New Jersey where she was co-founder. Nancy was also co-founder of New Jersey Spine Institute in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Nancy's giving nature and incredible spirit inspired her involvement in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, where she started Team Agapi and participated in the Avon Walk for Breast cancer for fourteen years. Nancy was also a member of the gathered to Give Foundation and aided in fund raising for breast cancer research and treatment.

Nancy was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, New Jersey. Nancy was also active on the Farmland Committee in Branchburg, New Jersey.

Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Helen Hutnik.

She had a love of horses, gardening and sharing her home but her deepest passion was for her children.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of twenty-four years, James W. Dwyer, with whom she joined hands in marriage on January 26, 1990. She will be deeply missed by three cherished children, James Ryan Dwyer, Caitlin Elizabeth Dwyer, and Sara Jeanine Dwyer all of Neshanic Station; her dear sister, Joanne and her husband Peter Ondik of Hillsborough; her Goddaughter, Rachel; dear mother-in-law, Jeanine Dwyer; devoted Aunt Maryann and Uncle Joe Cromie and dear sisters-in-law, Jeanine Mebane-Dwyer, Dara and her husband James Harkay, Suzette and her husband Steve Palahnuk, and Shannon and her husband Patrick Richards. Nancy was a trusted and caring friend to so many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, April 25 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 26 from 9:15-10:15 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26 beginning 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Committal words and disposition will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park's chapel in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to the National Brain Tumor Society, www.braintumor.org.
