Manville, NJ - Norma T. Vervan, 90, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Archbald, PA, daughter of the late Tomasso and Filomena (Bianchi) Picchini, she moved to Manville in 1955 and called it home ever since. Norma was employed at Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company in Archbald, PA, and then Foodtown of Manville. She was a devoted mother to her children as well as a caretaker of other neighborhood children during her time in Manville.  She belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas in Archbald, PA and then became a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Manville.

She loved her visits with her Pennsylvania Family & Friends. Her favorite memories there were lunch with the girls she grew up with, and family dinners where all her cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews gathered around for a delicious Italian dinner, stories, and laughter.

Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased in death by her loving husband Joseph Vervan, Sr. of 68 years, her brother Primo Picchini and her daughter Mary.

Norma leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children; son, Joseph Vervan, Jr., and his fiancé Mary; daughter, Kathleen Vervan Bugglin and her husband Stephen; two grandchildren, Courtney (Ball) Grace married to Tom Grace, Frank Harvey and three great-grandchildren, Tommy Jr., Ella Jean, and Madelyn.  She will also be missed by her dear brothers, Albert Picchini of Eynon, PA and Thomas Picchini of Archbald, PA, a great many nieces and nephews and her caretaker for the last 3 ½ years Jassie Kozak.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 (GPS Flemington, NJ) on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 9 am to 11:15 AM. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 11:15 am, followed by a 12:00 noon funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Disposition will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made in Norma's name to the American Kidney Foundation, www.kidneyfund.org or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church.
