Neshanic Station, NJ- Patricia Ann (nee Brown) Brygier, 83, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ surrounded by loving family. Born in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Edward L. and Violet (nee Jackson) Brown, Patricia spent most of her life in Somerville before settling to Neshanic Station in 1991.
Patty was a Licensed Practical Nurse for twenty-five years, and had eighteen years of dedicated employment with Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Later in life, she became a tax preparer and worked for many years with HR Block. She was a member of the Branchburg Women's Club, Eastern Star Ruth Chapter No. 12 of Bridgewater, NJ, and was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. Patty enjoyed gardening, sewing, cruises, and crafts. Spending time with family was one of her favorite pastimes, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ and a past communicant at Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville, NJ where she was very active with the Peoples Eucharistic League and as a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Patricia, also known as Caring Hands, was a member of the Nipmuc tribe in Massachusetts, where she enjoyed attending many of the tribe's gatherings.
Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband of over sixty years, Walter A. Brygier, Jr. who died on February 18, 2014; and all of her 8 siblings.
Patty is survived by four loving children, son, Walter A. Brygier, III and his wife Julie of Hamburg, PA, Blair Brygier and his partner Rose Rybski of Manville, NJ, Cheryl and her husband Robert Stedtler of Neshanic Station, and Lisa and her husband Larry Ott of Mt. Bethel, PA. She will be deeply missed by twelve cherished grandchildren: Kelsey, Joelle, Emily, Brandon, Kelly, Jessica, Nicholas, Sarah, Anna, Allison, Cheyenne, and Montana; and two adored great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and Hailey.
At the family's request, relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing in casual and colorful attire, rather than black, at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, March 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 10 from 11:45 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10 beginning 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. At the family's request, the disposition will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
