Hillsborough, NJ – Patricia A. (nee Arms) Sporman, 86, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at home in Hillsborough with loving family by her side. Born and raised in Plainfield, NJ, daughter of the late Frank Harding and Florence (nee Frazee) Arms, she lived in Warren, NJ upon marriage and settled to Hillsborough in 1968.
Patricia worked in the dietary department at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ for almost thirty years and retired in 2007. In her younger years she enjoyed walking and sitting on her deck enjoying nature and the beauties the world has to offer. Quality time with her grandchildren brought her great joy. Everyone always knew Patricia to be a very sweet, kind, and gentle soul who welcomed everyone into her home.
Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert A. Sporman, Sr. who died on January 27, 1999; sons, Robert A. Sporman, Jr. and William Sporman; sisters, Grace Armstrong and Florence "Sis" Honan; and brother, Frank Arms.
Patricia is survived by two loving daughters, Linda and her husband, James Silverman of Hillsborough and Brenda and her husband James Hager of Ringoes, NJ; and daughters-in-law, Lisa Sporman and Wendy Sporman. She will be deeply missed by eight cherished grandchildren, Melissa and her husband, John Tranculov, Brian Silverman and Jen Nelmida, Michael Cartoccio and his wife Kate, Christina Cartoccio, Carley Hager, Robert A. Sporman, III and his fiancé Mary Urbanski, William Sporman, Jr., and Josh Sporman; two adored great grandchildren, Layla Grace Tranculov and Adelynn Rae Sporman; and many dear nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, April 21 from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, April 22 from 9-10 a.m.
