Patricia Ann Willett
Beloved Wife, Mother & Grandmother
Readington Township, NJ – Patricia Ann (Duplissa) Willett, 72, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Old Town, ME to her late parents George A. & Melinda Frances (DuRoche) Duplissa, she had been a resident of Winfield, IL, for 38 years before settling to the Three Bridges section of Readington Township to be closer to family 2 years ago.
Patricia Ann spent her time as a homemaker caring for her loving family. Patricia Ann was a faithful communicant of St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. While in Winfield, she was an active parishioner and committee person with St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, and was an active participant in the successful building of a new church at St. John's in 1983. She was an active participant in the local Council of Catholic Women where she organized and prepared the newsletter, participated in a wide range of philanthropic functions, and held various administrative positions.
She was a charter member of the Winfield Jr. Women's Club. Patricia Ann had a love for writing letters to her friends and family and could make friends in a heartbeat with anyone she met. Though living for many years in the suburbs of Chicago, she remained a die hard Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics fan, just like her father, and would root for her teams with vigor and with her charming New England accent. She took pride in her collection of dolls, owls and porcelain bells and enjoyed her dear grandchildren's pets.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her adored grandson Matthew David Brinkman and her two dear brothers George and Francis Duplissa.
Patricia Ann leaves behind her devoted husband Robert J. Willett Sr. whom joined hands in marriage February 26, 1954, her loving children; daughter Sharon M. and husband David Brinkman of Rhinelander, WI, sons, Robert J. Willett Jr. of Chandler, AZ, Michael Stephen and wife Judith Marie Willett of Ringoes, NJ and John A. and Shanna Willett of Everett, WA.
