Readington Township, NJ- Patrick Samuel Orlando, 57, entered into eternal life peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in NYC with his loving family by his side. Born in Summit, NJ to his parents Samuel & Kathleen (Carey) Orlando, he was raised in Stirling and had lived in New Providence before moving to Readington Township 24 years ago.
Patrick faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam Conflict where he was stationed in Dover, DE. He was a businessman whose career marked 30 years in the Maritime Industry. He was President of Intermodal Industries, Inc. of New Jersey, Baltimore, MD., and Wilmington, NC. Most recently, Patrick was a partner with Newport Systems, Inc. of Wall, NJ.
Patrick was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station and a former member of the Baltimore Steamship Trade Association.
Patrick is predeceased by his loving father, Samuel Orlando.
Surviving Patrick is his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Maryann G. (Greco) Orlando, his cherished daughters Kendra-Beth Riddle of Three Bridges and Kory Ann Orlando of Readington Township. He leaves behind his dear mother, Kathleen Schaan of Stirling, NJ, a sister Connie Gibbons of Naple, Fl and a dear brother Robert Orlando of Belvedere, NJ. His grandchildren Bailey Ethan and Bryce Edward Riddle will miss him dearly.
Funeral Services will begin at 8:45am on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 9:30 funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Patrick will be entombed at the St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Watchung. Relatives and friends may call to the funeral home on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Thursday from 8:00am until service time. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital or the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
