Frenchtown, NJ – Paul N. Blaney, 65, entered into eternal rest on Friday at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township. Born in Exeter, NH to his mother and late father Dora (Tibbetts) and Norman Blaney, he resided in Readington Township before moving to Kingwood Township 2 years ago.
Paul retired in 1996 as a Supervisor for Ciba Geigy in Summit were he worked for 28 years. He then worked at Voltaix Corp. in North Branch as a supervisor for 5 years. Paul was a volunteer fireman, with Readington Township Volunteer Fire Company for 10 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating. He was an avid Jets fan, loved golf and admired Tiger Woods. Paul also loved to check out cars and new tractors and tools. He always had time for mans best friend his dog.
He is survived by his loving wife; Katherine L. (Stern) Blaney whom he joined hands in marriage on November 28, 1964; his devoted daughters Debra Blaney of Flemington and Tina Stramaglia of Neshanic Station. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Dora Blaney of Lambertville and his three grandchildren Paul, Jaime and Katie.
A memorial services will be held on Monday evening at 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. The Readington Township Fire Co will pay tribute at 7:00 pm. Relatives and friends may attend the visitation hours at the funeral home on Monday from 6-9pm. Memorial contributions in his memory may be sent to Readington Fire Company, 6 Hillcrest Road, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
