Obituary

Flemington NJ– Paul L. Fania, Sr., 81, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at home with loving family by his side. Born in Plainfield, NJ, son of the late Anthony and Lena (Fedele) Fania, he resided in Piscataway before settling in Flemington eight years ago.

Paul was a family man; dedicating his life to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and belonged to various hunting clubs throughout his life. Paul retired after many years of employment with the following three companies: Asarco, Woods and Manroland where he was a foreman. He was a parishioner of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-two years, Minnie C. (Mastroianni) Fania, with whom he joined hands in Holy Matrimony on January 31, 1953; three loving children, Toni Petraglia and her husband James of Raritan Township, NJ, Dominick Fania and his wife Patti of Raritan Township, and Paul Fania, Jr. and his wife Valerie of Raritan Township; dear sister, Frances DiMarzo and dear brother, Jerry Fania and his wife Dolly. Paul will be deeply missed by six cherished grandchildren and six adored great grandchildren, Tara Hamilton and her husband Scott and their children, Lena Rose and Maisy, Neil Petraglia and his wife Stephanie and their son, James, Anthony Petraglia, Amy Kensinger and her husband Baker and their sons, Jack and Luke, Michael Fania and his wife Vicky and their son, Dominick and Lisa Fania; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Flemington, NJ 08822 on Wednesday, June 3 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, June 4 from 9:45-10:15 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4 beginning 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822 with Fr. Joseph Kabali officiating. Committal words and entombment will follow at St. Magdalen Mausoleum in Flemington. Memorial contributions may be made in Paul's name to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
