Palm Springs, FL – Peter Metallo DiRaimondo, 82, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at his residence. Born in Italy to his late parents Santo and Antoinette (Barrera) DiRaimondo, he had lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Palm Springs fifteen years ago.

Peter was a construction worker having been a fifty year member of the Excavators Local #571 of New York, New York.

Surviving are his beloved daughters, Antoinette and husband William Reilly of Peach Tree City, GA, and Josephine and husband Frank Reale of Readington Township, NJ and son Santo and wife Roxanne DiRaimondo of Colonia, NJ. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren; Kati, William, James, Peter and Nicole all of whom were very special to him. He will be missed dearly by his extended family and by many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2006 beginning at 9:30am from Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Peter will be laid to rest in St. Charles Cemetery located in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday, March 26, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Monday from 9:00am until service time.
