Raymond "Ray" E. Kitzler, 68, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 9, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late Raymond William and Selma (Tatreau) Kitzler, he resided in Union and Bridgewater before moving to Flemington.
Ray faithfully served his country with the United States Navy from 1965-1971. He owned and operated Ray's Painting & Decorating in Bridgewater for many years, retiring in 2007. He was an accomplished athlete, proud to have run the New York City Marathon. He enjoyed time spent on the golf course.
Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by his sister, Brenda Scull and nephew, Todd Scull.
Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Lenore M. (Ialongo) Kitzler; three loving daughters, Allyson Faiella of Bridgewater, Amy Goveia of Flemington, and Amanda Caruso of Clinton. He will be deeply missed by four adored grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Reed and Mia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Friday, December 13 from 1-5 p.m. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 13 from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home with family and friends celebrating Ray's life. Memorial contributions may be made in Ray's name to Hodgkin's Lymphoma Association, National Headquarters, 115 Broadway, Suite 1301, New York, NY 10006.
