Somerville, NJ- Rhoda E. (Hughes) Dilts, 75, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at IHS of New Jersey at Somerset Valley located in Bridgewater. Born in Corpus Christi, TX to her late parents David Earl & Betty (Berge) Hughes, she had resided in Three Bridges before settling in Somerville seventeen years ago.

Rhoda was a homemaker having been an avid antique collector, a member of the Stangle Club and the Hunterdon County Historical Society.

Surviving is her husband of fifty-eight years Harold R. Dilts, her three children, son Thomas and wife Susan Dilts of Somerville, daughter Brenda S. Bowen and her companion Thomas Langan of Toms River, son George W. Dilts of Somerville, her siblings, three brothers Alf Hughes of Charlotte, NC, Donald Hughes of Davie, FL, and Kenneth Hughes of Hunterdon County (town unknown), three sisters Betty Jean Adams of Flemington, Shirley Kennedy of Blackwood, and Alice Karkas of Stockton. Rhoda also leaves behind her four grandchildren Stephen and wife Elizabeth Dilts of Hampton, Brian Dilts of Philadelphia, PA, Amy Dilts of Branchburg, and Juliet Bowen of San Francisco, CA.

A Service reflecting on Rhoda's life by her family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 beginning 11:00am at the Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Relatives & friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 between the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and on Wednesday from 10:15am until service time. Rhoda will be laid to rest at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Flemington and at the family's request the graveside services will be private.
