Raritan Township, NJ – Richard P. McNutt, 55, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Richard moved Raritan Township fifteen years ago.
Richard was honorably discharged from the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Richard was employed by Tierra Solutions located in East Brunswick as an Accountant/Project Manager. He was a faithful communicant of St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington and enjoyed golfing. Richard was always there throughout the years during his children's activities and supported them by his help and participation.
Richard is predeceased by his loving father Harold McNutt.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 30 years, Mary Jo (Foley) McNutt whom he joined hands in marriage with November 15, 1975, his cherished children; Timothy R. McNutt of New York City, Christine M. and Laura A. McNutt both at home, and Kevin M. McNutt at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Eileen (Johnson) McNutt of Pittsburgh, PA and his brother Ronald McNutt of Orlando, FL.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2006 beginning at 9:15am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Richard will be laid to rest in St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Monday from 8:00am until service time.
