Robert "Red" Scoloveno passed away Friday, April 17 ^th , 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Son of the late Lawrence and Bertha Scoloveno, Red was born in Newark, NJ, lived in Newark, Verona, and Belleville, NJ before moving to Bridgewater in 1973, where he lived for the remainder of his life.

He graduated from Jersey City State College and was a dedicated educator for the Newark Public school system for 40 years. Red proudly served in the 33 ^rd medical service squadron as an Air Force Reservist, where he cared for patients as a medic at Malcom Grow Medical Center on Andrews Air Force Base. Red loved volunteering and was a volunteer member of the Bradley Gardens Little Loop where he coached for 18 years, a coach with the Bridgewater Soccer Association, and volunteered with the Somerset County Probation Dept., where he counseled troubled youth. His great joy was traveling with family and friends and watching his grandchildren in various activities, sports and on stage. Red loved horses, and traveled every year to Saratoga, NY to watch the races. A meticulous dresser, Red often helped family and friends choose clothes and coordinate for events. He was an active member of Holy Trinity Church in Bridgewater for over 47 years. An amazing man who lit up every room, Red will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his beloved wife and best friend, Mary Ann (De Palma), his loving sons Robert and wife Maria of Branchburg, NJ, Michael and wife Maria of Queens, NY, his cherished grandchildren, Alex, Jason, Giuliana, and Christopher, his dear sisters Laurie, and husband John of Lakewood, NJ, Rosanne and husband Pat of Sierre Madre, CA, his father's wife Dolores, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored him dearly. He was predeceased by his brother Lawrence.

There will be a private ceremony at Countryside Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Somerset Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
