Milford, NJ – Robert "Bob" D. Stevely, 62, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 10, 2006 at his shore home in Little Egg Harbor with his loving family by his side. Born in Newark, NJ to his mother and late father Helen (Strallow) and Alexander Stevely, he resided in Pittstown before settling to Milford 27 years ago.


After 44 years of employment, Bob retired from the Local Union 475 located in Warren, NJ where he worked as a Steam Fitter. He currently owned and operated the family business; Cornerstone Café in Frenchtown since 1994. He was a communicant of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Milford, a 30 year member of the Flemington Elks and a former member of the Silver Edge Rod & Gun Club formerly of Milford. In Bob's spare time, he enjoyed fishing and boating.

Bob is survived by his loving wife; Joanne C. (Healy) Stevely; whom joined hands in marriage on October 14, 1967, his devoted children; sons Robert and wife Christine of Milford and James and wife Lisa of Alpha, NJ and daughters Deborah and husband Andrew Reynolds and Kathleen and husband Jeffrey Van Duyne all of Milford. He will be deeply missed by his mother; Helen (Strallow) Stevely of Milford, his dear siblings; Thomas Stevely of Fords, David Stevely of Milford, Susan Shinkunas of Little Egg Harbor and Maragret Stevely of Milford and by his 11 adored grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 beginning 9:45am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by an 11:00am funeral liturgy at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Milford. Bob will be laid to rest at St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington, NJ. Relatives and friends may attend the visitation hours at the funeral home on Thursday, July 13, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Friday from 9:15am until service time.
