Flemington, NJ –Rose Gomez, 59, entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson university Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Elizabeth, NJ to her loving parents, Ricardo and Dolores (Gago) Gomez, she was raised in Carteret and had been a resident of Flemington for the past 17 years.


Rose was an administrative assistant at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her granddaughters.

Rose was predeceased by her father Ricardo Gomez and her brother Vincent Gomez.

Rose leaves behind her beloved husband of 37 years, Juan Gomez. She will be deeply missed by her three loving children; Dolores and husband Anthony Kowalski, Michael and wife Melissa Gomez and Erik Gomez. She will also be deeply missed by her dear siblings; Richard and wife Susan Gomez, Benito Gomez, Robert and wife Beatrice Gomez, Elvira and husband Randy Hardy and Lawrence and wife Eileen Gomez. She was a cherished grandmother to Ava and Mia, and proudly expecting the birth of her third granddaughter this summer. Rose was a loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 beginning 9:15 am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00 am funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 7-9 pm and on Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Monday February 23, 2009 from 8:45 am until service time.
