Obituary

Manville, NJ- Rose (nee Gioffre) Seminara, 90, entered into eternal life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at her residence.  Born and raised in Woodbridge, NJ, daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (nee Violi) Gioffre, she lived in Raritan, NJ from 1953 until 1960 before settling to  Manville.

Rose was an accomplished and meticulous cook.  She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband after raising their family.  Rose retired in 1993 from Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals in Bridgewater, NJ after 16 years of dedicated employment in their accounts payable department.  She was a devout Catholic.  Rose was very proud of her Italian heritage as well as a very patriotic American who supported our military and front line workers.

Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband, George R. Seminara, Sr. in 1991; and by four siblings, Carmen "Mel" Gioffre, Concetta "Tina" Carbone, Theresa "Tes" Russo, and Vincent "Jimmy" Gioffre.

Rose is survived by four children, daughters, Karen Dilonardo of Lehigh Acres, FL, Mary Jo Seminara of Williamsburg, VA, Diane Sowden of Edison, NE, and son, George Rocco Seminara, Jr. of Bridgewater.  She also leaves behind many thoughtful and caring nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dr. Dolores Capraro Gioffe; five grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, October 27 from 5-7 p.m. and on Thursday, October 28 from 9-10:15 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 28 beginning 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with Fr. Edmund Luciano officiating.
