Rosina G.
Novello
Feb 22, 1935 — Jan 15, 2023
Rosina G. Novello was born on February 22, 1935 and passed on January 15, 2023. She was 1 month shy of her 88 th birthday. Rosina was the only child of the late Emma and Joseph Guadagnino both of New York and New Jersey.
Rosina grew up in the Bronx with a doting mother who took pride dressing up her beautiful daughter with handmade dresses she would make especially for her. She enjoyed her many childhood trips to Coney Island, but her love was the New Jersey Shore. They moved to New Jersey where she went to school in Plainfield NJ. As fate had it, she met and married Robert Eodice and had 2 daughters, Dina E. Jannone (predeceased) and Lisa E. De Nero. She and Bob settled in Scotch Plains NJ and later built a house for the family in Bridgewater, NJ. Rosina had 5 grandchildren: Lisa Plumstead, Joseph Jannone, Jenna E. De Nero, Christina Kenney, and John E De Nero. Rosina also had 2 great grandchildren, Emma Plumstead and John Plumstead. She later remarried Ben Novello and settled in Annandale NJ.
Rosina was vibrant, always filled with giggles, and enjoyed her family and friends tremendously. She was active onstage and participated with The Scotch Plains Players and Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. She later became the Banquet Manager at the Playhouse and was responsible for coordinating hundreds of weddings over the years. Rosina was a beautiful woman, loved to dance, garden and was a phenomenal cook. Rosina's garden was award-winning. She grew the most beautiful flowers, herbs, and vegetables which she used to prepare her Italian specialties she shared with family and friends. Her recipes have become a family legacy. Rosina was known for her smile, bubblegum, and love of family and the music of Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli.
She is loved and will be missed. We are blessed to have her as part of our lives. May she rest in peace.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, January 20th, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. officiated by Deacon Salvatore.
