Menlo Park, NJ- Russell Earl Batchelder, Jr., 73, died on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park, NJ where he has been a resident for the past twenty-five years. Born in Newark, NJ, son of the late Russell E. and Katherine Batchelder, Sr., he was raised in Irvington, NJ.

Russell faithfully served his country with the United States Army. He had been a self employed painter with "The Professionals" of Irvington.


Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gary Batchelder.

Russell leaves behind his son Guy B. and his wife Bonnie Batchelder of Flemington, NJ, his brother Darryl Batchelder of Kingman, AZ and two grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to join with Russell's family for committal services on Monday, March 29, 2010 beginning 11:00 a.m. at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887.
