Obituary

Neshanic Station, NJ- Sharon Lana (nee Ott) Pace, 77, formerly of Linden, NJ, currently residing in Neshanic Station, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 surrounded by loving family. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Florence (nee Stahowiak) Ott.

Sharon was a graduate of Woodbridge High School Class of 1959 and received a BA from Kean University in Union, NJ and her Master's Degree from Fairleigh Dickerson University in Madison, NJ. Sharon was a member of the New Jersey Teachers Association and a founding member of PBSIS. Sharon was an elementary school teacher from September 1, 1974 until July 1, 2013 at Roosevelt School in Rahway, NJ.   Teaching was Sharon's passion. Sharon was an active member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church of Three Bridges, NJ. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and close friends. The ultimate light of her life were her four grandchildren, who she would move heaven and earth for!

Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra; and niece Amanda (nee Roszkowski) Matthijs.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, George Pace; son, George Alan Pace and his wife Patricia; daughter, Shaun Marie and her husband David; four grandchildren, Christopher, Taylor Justine, Jennifer Rose, and Cassidy Catherine; sister, Judith Roszkowski and her husband Richard; several nieces and nephews; and as well her dear friends, Bob and Celeste Ruzak and Tony and Theresa Sorrentino.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. A memorial mass will be held in the memory of Sharon's life on Saturday, October 19 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 with Fr. Thomas Serafin officiating. The Pace family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful care given by Atlantic Homecare Hospice. At the family's request, please no flowers; donations may be made in Sharon's name to Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church.
