Sira Teresa Baute (née Fanego), aged 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the New Jersey Eastern Star Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Bridgewater, NJ. Originally from Cienfuegos, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Miguel Fanego and Lydia Marguerita Fernandez. She lived in Madrid, Spain for a few years, and immigrated to the United States settling in Elizabeth,  NJ. She had a short residence in Bridgewater.

Sira was a member of the Lion's Club in Elizabeth. During her time in Cuba, she served as a mathematics educator. Sira was a devoted mother and grandmother, finding her utmost happiness in the company of her family, particularly her five grandchildren.

Sira was predeceased by her beloved husband, Heliodoro Ramon Baute.

Sira is survived by her devoted daughters, Patricia and her husband Rolando Figueredo, as well as Sandra and her husband Manuel Diaz; dear brother, Rojelio Hernandez and sister Juana Hernandez; and her five treasured grandchildren, Nicholas Figueredo, Jacob Figueredo, Isabel Diaz, Andrew Diaz, and Julia Diaz; along with two cherished nieces, Kayla Hernandez and Kryster Hernandez.
