Stockton, NJ—Stephen J. Bodnar, 82, entered eternal life on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Acorn Glenn Assisted Living in Princeton with his loving family by his side. Born in Bronx, NY, son of the late Stephen and Margaret (Holland) Bodnar, he resided in Raritan Township before settling to Stockton in 1989.

Stephen faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from AT&T in Piscataway as a director of purchasing. After retiring, he became a director of sales with Howard Press. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges and enjoyed spending time with his family and at his residence in Jupiter, FL. He will forever be remembered for his trademark laugh.

Stephen was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth Ann (Reed) Bodnar on August 17, 2006.

Stephen leaves behind his loving & devoted children: daughter Mary Beth Mavus and husband Les of Raritan Township; son Stephen Jr. and wife Karen of Raritan Township; son Christopher of Stockton and son Gregory and companion Lisa Alexander of Raritan Township. He will be deeply missed by his cherished six grandchildren and precious great grandson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Thursday, March 31, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, April 1, from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 beginning 8:45 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Entombment will follow at St. Magdalen's Cemetery in Flemington.
