Raritan Township, NJ – Steven T. Smith, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 6, 2005. Born and residing in Elizabeth, NJ, he married and raised his family while engaged as a Building Contractor and past partner in American Realty. He retired and resided in Deerfield Beach, FL until settling in Raritan Township twelve years ago.
Steven was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the United States Army having faithfully served his country during WW II. He was awarded an American Legion award for high qualities of character and leadership He was a communicant of St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington.
He is survived by his devoted wife Victoria "Vivian" (Cavanaugh) Smith, his four loving sons Steven of Toms River, John of Raritan Township, James of Clark, and Matthew of Flemington. He also leaves behind his five adored grandchildren and his one cherished great grandson.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 beginning 10:00am at the Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by an 11:00am funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Steven will be entombed at St. Magdalen's Mausoleum in Flemington. Relatives and friends may attend calling hours at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2005 from 6--9pm, and on Tuesday from 9:30am until service time.
