Flemington, NJ- Theresa C. (née Grassano) Szwandrak, 79, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March, 15, 2025 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, surrounded by loving family. Born in Taranto, Italy, daughter of the late Rocco and Lucia (née Caladerone) Grassano, Theresa immigrated with her family to the United States when she was eight years old. She lived in Bayonne, NJ, and Hazlet, NJ, before settling in Flemington.

Theresa was a graduate of Bayonne High School with the Class of 1964. She worked for TD Bank in Bridgewater, NJ, as an executive administrative assistant for over twelve years, before retirement. Theresa loved to cook, bake, and sew. But her favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished the time and memories they all shared throughout the years. Theresa was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, NJ.

Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony Grassano and Joseph Grassano.

Theresa is survived and will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Peter Szwandrak, with whom she joined hands in Holy Matrimony on May 28, 1966, and spent 58 years of marriage; loving children, Bernadette and husband Paul Montera of Milford, NJ, and Peter Szwandrak, Jr. and his wife Tara of Flemington; two dear siblings, Rose and her husband Robert Ernst and Cosmo Grassano; and five cherished grandchildren, Amanda and her husband, Christopher Runge, Alyssa Montera, Matthew Montera, Justin Szwandrak and Gabriella Szwandrak.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. Committal words and interment will follow at St. Magdalen Cemetery & Mausoleum in Flemington.
