Raritan Township, NJ – Thomas Edward Flood, 78, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Morristown Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Haven, CT to his late parents Edward and Susan (Trimble) Flood, he had lived in Westwood, NJ before settling to the Raritan Township section of Flemington twenty-eight years ago.

Thomas was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1952 with a degree in Accounting. Thomas was honorably discharged from the United States Army after he faithfully served his country from 1946-1948. In 1990, he retired from Somerset Medical Center in Somerville where he was employed as a Controller. Prior to, he worked as a Controller at DuPont in Wilmington, DE, Grace New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT, United Hospitals of Newark, NJ, St. Barnabas Hospital of the Bronx, NY and he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Barnert Hospital in Paterson, NJ.

Thomas was a faithful communicant of St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington, was a Boston Red Sox's fan, an avid bridge player and belonged to the Bridge Center of Central Jersey. He had a passion for golf and was a member of Copper Hill Country Club of Ringoes, Knickerbocker Country Club of Tenafly and Bamm-Hollow Country Club of Red Bank.

He is survived by his devoted wife Maryann (Camenos) Flood with whom he joined hands in marriage with on September 19, 1970, his loving children; Jeannine and husband Mark Moschberger of Holland Township and Meghan Flood. He leaves behind his dear brother Edward and his wife Mary Flood of Silver Spring, MD. He will be missed dearly by his granddaughters Morgan and Katelyn Moschberger and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007 beginning 9:15am at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Magdalen's Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. Thomas will be entombed at St. Magdalen's Mausoleum also in Flemington. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Thursday from 8:45am until service time.
