Flemington, NJ – Tjitske (Vander Berg) Van Bochoven, 94, entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Born in Bolsward, Holland she had resided in Clifton before settling to Flemington in 1973.
Tjitske was a homemaker taking great pride in caring for her family. Tjitske attended services at Grace Covenant Baptist Church in Flemington and was very influential in the beliefs of her family through religion.
Besides her parents, Tjitske was predeceased by her beloved husband Isaac Van Bochoven on September 1, 1987, her daughter Rena Saracco on August 23, 2008 and by her three brothers and sister.
Tjitske leaves behind her loving children; daughter Berna Golis of Toms River, sons Richard and wife Ruth Van Bochoven of Flemington and Simon and wife Lisa Van Bochoven of Clifton. She will be missed by her five cherished grandchildren and three adored great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Monday, October 27, 2008 from 7-9pm. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 beginning 11:00am at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton with Pastor Alan Dunn of Grace Covenant Baptist Church officiating.
