Branchburg, NJ – Victor Marulli, Sr., 97, entered into eternal life on Friday, September 29, 2023 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Westport, MA, he was raised in Fall River, MA, until settling in Branchburg in 1959. Victor was born to the late Sabatino and Mary Ann (nee Chouinard) Marulli.
Victor faithfully served his country with the United States Navy from 1944-1954, serving in both WWII and the Korean War. He obtained the rank of Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class as part of the Underwater Demolition Team #3, Bell Diver, Combat Swimmer Frogman (forerunner of a Navy Seal). He served in Guam, Philippines, Japan, and the European and Asiatic Pacific theatres of operation. Victor was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Bridgewater, NJ.
Beside his parents, Victor was predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Rose (Vodolo) Marulli, daughter Susan Marulli, grandson David Mitchell, Jr., sisters Doris D'Orlando, Juliette Levesque and Theresa Holden, son-in-laws David Mitchell, Sr. and Brian Fletcher, Sr.
Victor is survived by his loving children, Jo Ann Mitchell, Genette Fletcher, Victor Marulli, Jr. and wife Linda, Michael Marulli and partner Lisa, and Christine Eccles; nine cherished grandchildren, Keith Marulli, Phillip Mitchell, Karen Williams and partner Kevin, Bernadette Fletcher, Brian Fletcher and partner Julia, Lori Cyrana and husband Patrick, Anthony Marulli, Joseph Marulli and Taylor Eccles; ten adored great grandchildren; Emily Marulli and partner John, Timothy Marulli, Madison Marulli, Patrik Williams, Colin Williams, Triston Dunbar, Ceara Fletcher, Brandon Reiner, Callie and William Cyrana; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Monday, October 2, from 4 p.m. 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 3 from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, October 3, at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Bridgewater, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery & Mausoleum in Bridgewater, NJ.
