Phillipsburg, NJ- Victoria "Torie" Susan (Taylor) Callahan, 38, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her residence. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of Raymond H. and Susan H. (Heal) Taylor, she lived in Iselin, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, Jacksonville, FL, Flemington, NJ before settling to Phillipsburg last year to raise her young family.
Torie had a collegiate mind and achieved her life-long goal of Doctorate in Psychology. She attended Stockton University for her undergrad degree, Montclair State University for a master's degree and culminated with her second master's degree and doctorate Psy.D from LaSalle University. Torie was enjoying decorating their new home; she loved to bring themes and colors together and had a creative knack for interior design. She enjoyed music, concerts and was an avid reader. Most of all, she adored being a wife and especially mom to her two small children, Isabella and Caleb.
Torie is survived by her beloved husband Richard L. Callahan, Jr., and two adored children, Isabella and Caleb Callahan. She leaves behind her loving parents, Raymond and Susan Taylor; siblings, Jennifer and husband Ian Wyatt and their two children, Rachel and Jacob Wyatt of Flemington, NJ and Jeffrey Taylor of Califon, NJ. She will be missed by her dear parents-in-law, Jackie and Richard L. Callahan, Sr., as well as her sister-in-law Maureen and husband Tim Hardman and their new born baby "CoCo" Colette Hardman. She will be deeply missed by many cousins, their spouses, extended family members and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, September 5 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6 beginning 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Wonjae Choi of First Presbyterian Church, Flemington, officiating. Committal words and interment will follow at a Hollywood Memorial Cemetery, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ 07083.
