Obituary

Bayville, NJ- Vincent Joseph Puleo, 77, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Benedetto A. and Giovana Y. (née Calcavecchia) Puleo, he settled to New Jersey in 1981.

Vincent faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force for twenty-four years obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant.  Upon military retirement, he worked at the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Station in Forked River, NJ as a Radiation Instrument Technician.  Vincent was a "Renaissance man".  He enjoyed target and skeet shooting, history, live music, guitar playing, travel, wood working, computers, and baseball, particularly the New York Yankees. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family, loved ones, and friends.

Besides his parents, Vincent was predeceased by his sister, Marie Taibbi and many dear friends.

Vincent is survived by his beloved wife, Diana M. (née Hall) Puleo, with whom he shared fifty-three years of marriage, joining hands in Holy Matrimony on October 15, 1967; two loving children, Lisa and her spouse Peter Passalacqua and Lori Puleo Jurczak; four cherished grandchildren, Liliana Marie Passalacqua, Marco Pietro Passalacqua, Jake Vincent Passalacqua, and Nora Lucie Jurczak; and many dear nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  As Vincent gave much in life to others, he continued to give the gift of life even in death through the Sharing Network's Donate Life program.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing and funeral services at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Thursday, January 7th, from 2-5 p.m.  The recorded services for Vincent can be found on YouTube using the link, https://youtu.be/-E3ZVzCZy4g .

Interment, committal words and military honors will take place on Tuesday, January 12th, at 10:30 a.m. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
