Hillsborough, NJ- William C. Bowblis Jr., 82, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington with his loving family by his side. Born in Newark, NJ to his late parents William & Josephine (Schuvsky) Bowblis, he had lived in Elizabeth before moving to Hillsborough 30 years ago.


In 1985, William retired after 20 years of employment from Amerace ESNA Corp. where he had worked as a Tool & Die Designer. He was a communicant of Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough. William had a passion for roller skating and in his spare time enjoyed carpentry work.

William will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Florence (Higgins) Bowblis, his beloved children, sons William C. Bowblis III of Kinnelon, NJ and Robert Bowblis of Keene, NH and daughter Barbara Sixt of Cranford, NJ. He also leaves behind his adored brothers Vincent of Germany and Constantine of Florida and his grandson Michael Sixt will miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to join with the family on Saturday, May 21, 2005 for a 10:00am Funeral service at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. William will be laid to rest at Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough. Visitation will be on Friday, May 20, 2005 at the funeral home from 7-9pm and on Saturday from 9:15 until service time.
