Whitehouse Station, NJ–William Joseph Scopetto, Jr., 72, entered into eternal life on Friday, December 18, 2009. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Piscataway, Bayville where he had residence for the past 21 years, as well as Whitehouse Station for the past 41 years.


Family was of the utmost importance to William. He was self employed at the gas stations he had owned and operated and enjoyed working on cars. He was a retired teamster. William loved to be at the Jersey shore. He enjoyed the outdoors, horses and boating. He was quite talented with his hands as he always loved to build and fix things. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a big man with a big heart.



William was predeceased by his parents William and Elvera (Grande) Scopetto and by two brothers; Paul and Louis.



William leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Genevieve (Marino) Scopetto, his three loving children; Cynthia Hayduk of Raritan, William Craig Scopetto of Stanton and Jeffrey Michael Scopetto and his wife Diane of Raritan Township and two dear sisters; Rose and Mildred. He will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren; Morgan Leigh Biscone, Jessica Hayduk, Lisa Hayduk, Joseph Hayduk, Christopher Scopetto, Charles Scopetto and Cole Scopetto and by his dear mother-in-law Rose Marino.



A memorial service will be held at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m..
