Readington Twsp., NJ- William "Bill" O. Troegner, 90, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Brooklyn, NY to his late parents Paul & Ella (Hausmann) Troegnar, he lived in Astoria, Queens prior to settling in the Three Bridges section of Readington in 1957.

Bill faithfully served his country in the United States Army where he served in the Pacific as a Sergeant during WWII. He was honorably discharged and awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.

Bill was a retired carpenter and had worked for Hunterdon General Contractor located in Flemington. Along with his wife Theresa, he owned and operated the Sunshine Motel from 1957 until closing the business in 1987. Bill was a member of both the American Legion #159 and the V.F.W Post#7856 in Flemington. He was a faithful communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, card playing and trips to Atlantic City.

Bill is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Bill leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Theresa (Yankovich) Troegner whom joined hands in Marriage on June 14, 1947. He will be deeply missed by his dear children; sons Philip S. of Titusville, NJ, William R. of Honolulu, HI and Joseph P. of Flemington and daughter Terry Simonds of Ringoes, NJ. His ten adored grandchildren and many nieces and nephews will miss him dearly.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 beginning 10:30am at the Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 followed by a 11:00am Funeral Liturgy at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges. At family's request, final disposition will be private. Relatives & friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday, June 5, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9pm and on Monday, June 6, 2005 from 10:00am until service time. Memorial Contributions in his memory may be sent to a charity of your choice.
