Flemington, NJ– William Weidlich, 68, entered eternal life on Friday, July 18, 2014 at home in Flemington. Born in Somerville, NJ, son of the late Kenneth and Josephine (Cieslak) Weidlich, he had resided in Hillsborough, Manville, Bridgewater, and Somerville before settling to Flemington in 1996.



William was a graduate of Somerville High School. He faithfully served his country from 1965-1969 with the United States Air Force as a sergeant E4 during the Vietnam War. He was an engineer with the State of New Jersey, retiring in 2005. William was a communicant of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church in Flemington. He was a member of the Dawn Patrol Motorcycle Club in Bradley Gardens, VFW Post #7856 in Flemington, American Legion Post #159 in Flemington, and Moose Lodge #1829 in Flemington.



Besides his parents, William was predeceased by his wife Sophie M. (Sidor) Weidlich with whom he shared Holy Matrimony on August 12, 1972.

William is survived by his loving children, Keith Weidlich and his wife Jennifer of Ashland, MA and Carolyn Weidlich and her husband Rob Pastor of Flemington. He will be deeply missed by his dear brother, Kenneth Weidlich of Easton, PA; and four cherished grandchildren, Sophie, Christina, Nathan, and Erin.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Tuesday, July 22 from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 23 from 10-11 a.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 23 beginning 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal words will follow at St. Magdalen Mausoleum in Flemington.
