Raymunda I. Salas (née Gomez), aged 84, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, New Jersey, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Peru, she was the daughter of the late Julio and Victoria Gomez (née Polo). In 1973, she immigrated to the United States initially settling in Queens, New York In 2009, when her beloved husband, Teodocio Salas, passed away she relocated to Princeton, New Jersey to live near her children.

Raymunda was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a gentle soul who enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends, who she loved like family. As a faithful Christian, Raymunda was guided by the love and word of our Lord who gave her strength and hope. In her leisure time, Raymunda enjoyed nature watching particularly birds, bees, butterflies, deer and other forest creatures.  She also loved to crochet and knit gifts as well as enjoying foods from Peru and other cultures.

Raymunda is survived by four loving children, Lucia Salas of Princeton, New Jersey, Dorothy Salas and her husband David Frank of Three Bridges, New Jersey, Saul Salas of Princeton, New Jersey, and Miriam Salas of Allentown, Pennsylvania; her dear brothers Antonio, Gumercindo, Gerardo and Rufino and sisters Luci, Delfina, Andrea and Elizabeth in Peru, two treasured grandchildren, Victoria Frank and Jonathan Pous Cordero and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins.and in-laws.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, located at 724 US Highway 202, Three Bridges, NJ 08887 on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 2-4 p.m.
