Rosemarie (née Bastone) Loria, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on March 16, surrounded by her family. She was the cherished wife of Dan Loria for just shy of 60 wonderful years.

Born in the Bronx with a warm smile and a friendly heart, Rosemarie was known to everyone who met her for her kindness and generosity. She met Dan on Castle Hill Avenue when she was 15 and they married 5 years later. In 1970, Rosemarie and Dan moved to Long Island, where they built a home and raised their family. During that time, she worked for the American Red Cross, a role that reflected her caring nature and desire to help others.

After 45 years in Ronkonkoma, they relocated to Flemington, New Jersey, where Rosemarie once again made her presence felt in the best possible way. As a member of the community's social committee, she became the heart of many gatherings—organizing events, bringing people together and ensuring that everyone felt welcomed. Her energy and enthusiasm turned simple occasions into cherished memories for all who attended.

Rosemarie embraced life's simple pleasures with joy and passion. She had a lifelong love of crossword puzzles, often delighting in the satisfaction of filling in that final square. She found great happiness in listening to Barbra Streisand and seeing Broadway shows and made music lovers of both her children. She also loved spending time with friends playing Bunco, where laughter was abundant and the scorecards were often secondary to the camaraderie shared around the table.

She was renowned for her legendary pot roast, stew and of course, gravy and meatballs, which people couldn't get enough of.

Above all, Rosemarie's greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with them—whether it was a holiday gathering, an afternoon visit drinking margaritas or cheering on her grandchildren in their pursuits. She was a constant source of love, encouragement and pride and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She made each of them feel seen, supported and deeply loved, creating memories they will carry with them always.

In addition to Dan, she is survived by her daughter Danielle (John Murdock) and her son Keith (Patricia). She was the proud grandmother of Jordan, Kati, Thomas, Cassidy, Robert and Joseph. She also leaves behind her dear sister Frances (Pat Faciglia).

Rosemarie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her warmth, generosity and love for family will live on in their hearts forever.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on March 21 at 12:30 p.m., at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church at 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Visitation to follow the same day, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, located at 724 US Highway 202, Three Bridges, NJ 08887. Repast to follow (details to follow). The disposition will take place privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, located at 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
